Fugue and Anti- HUDA Raw Materials

I have previously introduced a bass continue concept into pop songs, now let's look at the options of bass instruments

1>  Sustainable basso continuo

This is just a simplified bass continuo version, with more steady bass notes. In a lot of time, I see it's the material frequently abandoned also by commercial makers, regarded as low value .

2> Basso continuo

It's actually not my idea, but a Baroque idea. It is so funny that they want to give that intellectual property to me since Bach and Handel both dead.

A developed modern version , in fact to my concept, is still a primitive version

3> Melodic  basso continuo

This means comprehensive function including harmonic structure, rhythmic structure, and melodic motif, to produce a definite dramatic character, as I have stated in another article.

What I meant was a more flexible pattern, yet with each functional margin effectively tailored. In fact, Mick of Flannelette's had just only used very primitive Baroque style with modern instrument.

6> Melody

Which means moving the melody to the low register instruments, and at the same time reverse its rhythmic structure to the higher parts.

7> Fugue

This is also a Baroque concept, yet, I only take this idea, to put into the structure for special use today, and it has a special meaning just as basso continuo.


This design is directly target at HUDA:


In video gaming, the HUD (heads-up display) is the method by which information is visually relayed to the player as part of a game's user interface. It takes its name from the head-up displays used in modern aircraft.

The HUD is frequently used to simultaneously display several pieces of information including the main character's health, items, and an indication of game progression (such as score or level).


In a typical HUDA conduct, we can see elements from raw materials were being extracted, to make a Mosaic picture by Mr A.  But at times when extraction is difficult, I found a higher percentage of bass players are in life threats!!

That may because , it's the only elements among all that their ears can tell, but unable to track down as score!!

When we understand such extractive operation, then we are able to intentionally control raw material supply. As I know Mr A is currently responsible for at least 10 x 3 chick and duck orders in China, America and Australia, and I'm sure there're a lot more than that, including a list of countries.

The quantity of work load is as the following:

Suppose, each location have 10 chicks, and  each chicks is to have a promotional collection of  around 10 eggs.  Then for any area, it means 100 eggs for 1 promotional collection for each chicks. Then in 3 location is 300 eggs. Of course, it's beyond single one's capability, and is impossible to be completed in short time, unless it's heavily based on a mass raw supply.

As far as I know, Mr A should be in charge of more locations. So, control the supply of raw materials is of prime importance.


If you are a contracted song writer, or a member of related music group, I suggest you exclude all my elements. After I recommend fugue on bass  to you, you will find, that all bass handles are my elements ;) Such exclusion means only to leave it bare- the only thing I haven't suggested yet.


Then it is my suggestion for you to seek counsel from Mr A, if excluding all my elements, what elements do they want. In such way, I can then develop a vocabulary of their elements, so as to mark effectively chicks and ducks. As currently, chicks and ducks are the only job dedicated and packaged by Mr A.
A raw material,  as exclusion from my elements, will be generally of no special characters, just to follow the will of Mr A and his chick dishes, as easy as a blank paper. So then they put their colour on, their clothes on , as easy as they wish.


Now I need only to recommend the last option of bass instrument, which is melodic fugue. Then all can be excluded.

Attention, this method is , I believe musically very valuable, worth trying for exercises, but for security reason, it only be classified as personal practice, instead of a net contribution.

1> Take any of themes from chicks and ducks singing, use in bass instrument, as theme.

In such way, the sound track is of very low capacity being extracted and reused, if the melody is very recognisably chicky or ducky( that doesn't mean the character , but only the acknowledgement .)


2>  Construct harmonic progression first,  instead of rhythm or melody.

This will be a study in chords and intervals.  Jonah gave an example directly, the day I thought of this. Two melodic parts, with simple intervals.

And later I heard a solo on just one structural note.


3>  Further variations on the melodic line, starting from structural interval or chord notes.

Note : One must start from down beats, and a second from upbeats .

So in my imagination, these are actually short phrases of melodic lines, could be even shorter . So in fact, I mean similar but also independent melodic lines in both higher or bass instruments.

This should be instrumental as practice, to achieve an objective result.


4> Vertically reversed structure

In such structure, you will find, when the bass line becoming melodic, it does not have rhythmic function, neither chord as harmonic support.

A fugue duet may itself interesting. But if you have a third instrument, then it may become rhythmic facility as support, we will find it to be moved to higher part, or by usually melodic instruments.



5> Blend of sound

Taking special consideration of HUD extraction, the third instrument is better to

• either create a unique blend with especially higher register vocal (instrument) . 

You should understand what effect you mean to produce, with such extractable higher part, to form a unique blend with supposed to be ( female vocal ).

For example : 

Now, the only common used rhythmic instrument left should be the jazz drum.

And regularly, or more sensibly, as bass is becoming the lower timber in the sound structure, higher rhythmic facility means, for example- cymbals. That creates a unique blend. You need to listen to imagine and understand what I mean about an instrumental and female voice blend created through extraction, if extractable.

You may test on other options.

In such process, the only thing that can be heard is a better performance.

• or, using intelligent rhythmic patterns

That means exclusion of regular  downbeats, or,   upbeats.  As the bass melody should have taken the downbeat already. The lead is taken by melodic line, if it can be also extractable.



6> Fill in further meaning, or content of music


Now I have no idea, what such effect may produce, or be used in to by a more emotional or depicting meaning.

But rather, I have this technical texture first, that needs to be fill in and then be heard, then from the sound to decide its further meaning, then to develop. But now I don't really know about it.

But it certainly provides a large variety from this texture, as the chords, intervals, varies; and also when the meter and rhythm varies ; and as pattern of phrasing may vary , partially stretch or shorten as needed later.

I have no idea about this yet, unless enough experiments being made.

With Jonah's help, we have already confirmed that pattern is workable, and musically excellent and valuable.

This is only for personal practice, or an Anti-e practice of music value.

For cooperate usage, exclude all my elements on bass instrument . Any melodic form is more or less, of my elements, that includes sections of solo, duets, and fugue.

Showing special respect means simply to leave bass bare or blank.


A special respect will help to collect prostitution elements.  Careful security consideration in raw material supply is the key. If you cannot be sure, then ask your supervisors.

Now I have almost excluded all common elements. Any new invention will be very characteristic, yet limited and uniquely acknowledgable.

I know lots people cannot truly understanding my green policy, but I will say that again that I only recycle the abandoned. And I'm not interested in struggle for copyrights.

Such tolerance is based on the nature of imperfection of most music.

But in the other hand, if you have taken all, why do you need more?If your hands are full of blood, your soul will tell the truth. And there's no white face . That's very much the line of tolerance.

Lots people misunderstand this policy, either they have peace without principle or they abandoned line to engage in conflicts.

Lots western youth have such character, that is quicker to act, eager to speak out, but they do not put special emphasis on understanding. That's why sometimes I feel necessary to keep a few things to myself, rather than speak out- Quick tongue always bring extra trouble.

It is not good time for music, as the power of world  in dark hands. To be successful, whether to a male or to female , everywhere in the world music industry involves certain kind of trade of  ethics. Every rich man, sponsors of businesses are bound to these unjust rules. Everyone, rich or poor, facing same kind of threats.  When one realise such kind of inevitability, they would not have extra anger, fueled from insuccess in short time. If they are able to foresee those elements in the world, then they should have realistic speculation in every competitions or career trade, so they will not lose their composure when the result can be foreseen.


With such acknowledgement, they will not be obsessed in gain or loss in short time, but really move on to  take effective measures to restore themselves. As everything has its time, time to go, time to come. Only the ones prudent enough to restore themselves will have lasting quality. That simply because everything has a time, to come and to go. 

But the problem to some seems to be always, as the time should go, he does not go, and at the time to do something else come, he does not come. This is a limitation to self.

Rock Beyond Q & A

Did I use to play rock and roll? It seems far away from me...

The pursuit for music in rock band performers had been once beyond my notice, neither did I aware them as one of my engaged music type. But it's very true, music may share some common principle , and musicians can learn from widen repertoire with full initiative, which is inspiring and encouraging.


Although there's some grievance that may engage with betrayal from close people, the road accident of Flannelette's member has magically changed the nature of rock and roll music in a large scale. As the night I watched the Rage, and I found the rock music has been greatly refined and improved, and very crucially, SOUL has been brought to rock and roll.

This is what I talked to Mick, as he was the composer of the band. I don't think any confrontation is really necessary as rock music itself is naturally hard to forfeited. Yet, in the other hand, I understand this would naturally happen in rock music player, as they have unique uncompromising character, which is just the core of rock and roll.

It may be the loudest music on earth, that certainly consumes huge amount of energy.  With such realisation, yet without full understanding,  this field has been a very large acoustic rubbish bin. As most often, the whole effect could be rather rough and coarse. But with that saying, I don't mean that rock and roll should be slim enough to please.

If I am to give a few further words for the direction and improvement of rock music ,  several points especially need consideration for serious rock player.

1.Find the meaning of rock and roll . And draw a clear line to distinguish between art and rubbish.

The nature of rock and roll is a challenging attitude to the world, questioning , expression of darkness, and full of music fighters. With such meaning, rock and roll certainly has its unique position, as it may become the most intensified and most powerful  music. But in the other hand, if people thought any venting loudness means rock and roll, that we will see those drunken donkey worthlessly addicted to sex, drugs and alcohole.

This is very true, even  a loudest type of music demands refined emotion , which means the artistic aspect of music. And I insist that aesthetics does not equal beauty, as every material could be useful, but only the ability to use artistically brings the taste. And taste doesn't mean lean on an elegant couch to point on some sheet with delicate hand holding wine and rose. An artistic form can be rough , can be just black or white, without any colour, it can be loud, only if they means well. But what really means well seemed to be forever profound to some who will never get in.

But such magic Mick has brought to rock and roll players, as soul has secretly entered many. And that line, is exactly crucial to define and cut great rock music from rubbish, and has set a goal then for people to seeking for language to express. Yet, without setting a meaning, there will never ever come a better music.

I wish Rock and Roll at its strength.

Matt Campbell( the vocal of the band)  howls,  but I don't understand it, it's just rough to me. So when John taking on a rock and roll style and howl in the same way, I stopped him. Apart from breaking the pitch, I can't find what it delivered in the voice. But Mick here, even when dead had given an interpretation. It may just have sounded differently in such secretly way.

Lots shits in rock and roll today.What I mean shit, is kind of venting pleasure just as  one shitting on toilet.  Surely , to some opera harpists, there's always a reasoning behind any hysterical moment, and that's enough for them to gain sympathy or funny enough, approval.

But it differs , especially when consuming one's full energy, as it is  hard to control without the right soul and mind to put everything just on.


Technically to develop a rock and roll effective vocal demands good training, as a powerful voice supposed to be delivered  over loud background. A few method of training can be taken exactly from the notes to John also. And certainly people should not compromise on the pitches. Rock singer needs to be physically strong enough. A lot are only consuming , or venting , but not strong.

A good rock vocalist is very hard to be replaced by a lower one.

1> that energy level itself means hard training.

2> Very few rock females can be qualified, both physically, technically, and mentally. Surely, we sometimes see a black widow when they vent full of their fierce energy; or we sometimes see a white angel misplaced; or they are totally mute in the band.

3> You can certainly see lots roughness and sexually charging male vocalists.


In short, those voice cannot pretend, if the meaning of rock and roll becomes a true measure.

3.rock and roll is instrumental in nature

Simple is that, have you heard of solo rock? It doesn't have any power and strength without instrumental accompany.

But, here I point out, a more efficient way using instrumental music, is surely  inevitable, just as  Mick and his friend studied.In the other hand, without such efficiency,music will die out  naturally without worrying.

I'm amazed by these music instruments , as every single one of them is a powerhouse of acoustics. Jazz drum is  fascinating, as it's a collection of several classical percussion. But without careful study,  patterns are so dull.

Every instrument -guitar, bass guitar and jazz drum, worth a full own powerhouse of sound.  This study is the basis of efficiency.Although they produce very different quality of sound than a classical music, it's only a matter again, to develop meaning of every tone in every possible dimension of musicality.

Thereforgest people may develop solo instrumental rock, before put them into a band, then they will have a much more careful study and have a lot more language to use. And the powerhouse will be more powerful.

Again, loudness does not equal strength.


Apart from these notes especially for rock and roll,  people may also learn from other topics with their own initiatives. Rhythm is  generally covered in its instrumental music.

A mole in a rock band is just suicide.

More importantly, when rock and roll find it's own strength, it can never be replaced, neither Mr Q, or A.

What's not inside them will NEVER come out of them, and they can never kill all the players, as it's just the very NATURE of ROCK.
